@SaintlyStuart Good credentials there for knowledge of the process, but yeah, we don't know the length or circumstances behind the pricing. The thing that's not being addressed though is that consumers want to pay lower prices for shorter games, increasing could do more harm than good.

@SaintlyStuart They don't, but you can't ignore perceived value. Realistically, a two hour title is not likely to cost as much as a 100 hour game to make, so why should publishers charge the same? In your example though, how do we know it is a short game, and not a subsidy to promote instead?

@SaintlyStuart I disagree, none of them expect consumers to pay the same price for significantly different lengths of content. Singles, EPs, albums have different costs. Cinemas don't go full price on short films. Books do have a pricing structure based on length (especially ebooks).

Some interesting stuff in State of Play, but I'm not convinced by Returnal yet - combat looked like a 3D Resogun so didn't appeal to me. Deathloop could be a lot of fun though, Kena was pretty, and Oddword Soulstorm coming to PS+ on PS5 at release in April is a welcome bonus.
