@FuryAc3 Or maybe it's simply a case of getting the best tech behind a service. If Sony's PSNow was doing the business there'd be not much need, but most likely cloud performance has improved dramatically since they acquired Gaikai and they need a tech partner with similar goals.

Word finally out on the Metro: Exodus expansion pass - coming this summer a classic Metro level set in Novosibirsk, then in early 2020 a sandbox area in Vladivostock. Both sound great, and will open up new tales away from Artyom's story arc.

@SaintlyStuart I can accept having to work through hardware options, parameters, driver updates and settings to get to fit my spec, but for it to take more than that with undisclosed errors just becomes a barrier to the enjoyment.

@SaintlyStuart Agree on the backwards compatibility point, but not exactly the same here - the games are available to buy and I meet the spec for them. They should work without such a headache.

4 games I've attempted to play on PC tonight (nothing cutting edge, just some old Steam ones I've got kicking around) - 1 refuses to load after logos, 1 ditches sound when game starts, and 2 won't support controller. This is why I prefer console gaming... at least they work.
