Loadout: Enter the Kroad

Back at the beginning of this year we reviewed Loadout and quite liked the chaotic, bloody and downright silly gameplay it had to offer – especially as it’s free to play. A few months ago Edge of Reality announced that the game was coming to PS4 and would get a campaign mode to boot. Last week they released more information and graced us with an introduction to the Kroad.

There’s no way we can do the press release justice here, so here it is in full:

Whaddup Weaponcrafters!?
You’ve been destroy’n your bros across the Loadout universe but it’s time to mount up and fight the baddest-baddies in this galaxy, Enter the Kroad! These intergalactic, Blutonium-hungry-combat-machines are here to slay you and your bros, so what are you gonna do about it? Ain’t nobody got time for Blute stealin’ space cowboys! Check out the trailer above and see how we’re taking the fight back to the Kroad!
Oh yeah! When Enter the Kroad drops, you will have the option to sport Kroad gear on both PC and PS4! Let those blue bastards know you mean business by wearing the Kroad scalp, and more, into battle! As an extra bonus, there’s a chance a Kroad Grunt will drop into battle sporting his own special shirt, too. Fiending for the update and final push for Enter the Kroad? And the date for Loadout to appear on PS4? 16th December for the US, soon after for the EU (so we’re assuming the 17th then). Not long to wait, and there’s a lot of fun to be had with a game that knows exactly what it’s aiming to deliver – mayhem – and we can’t wait to try out how it ports over. There are a few free-to-play games on the PSN currently, but none that have really grabbed our long term interest, this could be the one that changes that.
