“Codec Momentum? What’s that?” we hear you cry. Settle down in a comfy chair with a hot beverage and your favourite snack, and we’ll explain…

We’ve all got games that we should have finished, but didn’t quite manage it for one reason or another. It could be we spent months waiting for them to arrive in our lives, they then turned out to be time-sinks and we moved onto a newer, greater game. They could be those wonderful Games With Gold/PlayStation Plus/Steam freebies that sit in our libraries, untouched and unloved. Or it might be a simple case of real life lining up its sights and our gaming pastime had to take one for the team.

Whatever the reason there’s a pile of shame big or small that belongs to all of us, and we want to help you reduce it. Codec Momentum is about us helping give people the impetus to finish something from that pile, whether it’s on our Codec Call podcast, through social media, or just out right bribery. Simply let us know which game you want to get to the end of, then send us a screenshot confirming you’ve done it and we’ll add you here in our Codec Momentum hall of fame. We’ll even send you one of our fancy pin badges to proudly wear.
