4 In February

Got a backlog of games that you need to get through, but can’t tear yourself away from the latest distraction?  Want to reduce your pile of shame slightly so that it no longer threatens to break your shelf?  Or are you just embarrassed that you dropped a load of cash on a new game 6 months ago and haven’t made it past the first level?  If you answered yes to any of these, Joystiq can help!

4 In February returns where you can decimate your neglected games in Joystiq’s month long initiative.  In their own words, they might be shutting their doors, but they’re not shutting down their consoles, and there’s still a lot to play.  Here are their rules:

  1. There are no rules.
  2. Seriously, there are no rules.  You can pick new games, old games or even titles that you stopped playing that one time during finals week in college because your academic life depended on it (it’s cool, we’ve all been there).  The only requirement is that you pick four games.
  3. Start at the beginning of a game, or start where your old save file left off, it doesn’t matter!  We can’t drive over to your house to force you to start a game over; we don’t know where you live, after all.

All you need to do to get in on this is pick 4 games from your backlog and start playing them.  Tweet your progress using the hashtag #4iF, or head to the Facebook page to update the Joystiq team.  We’d love to hear from you as well, mainly because we’ll need the motivation as much as anyone!  Our picks are:

Prof. Kelvin Harris and Brian (@ProfAndBrian)

Andy Selection

Far Cry 4 (PS4), Tomb Raider (PS4), LEGO Batman 3 (Mac), Papers Please (PC)

Matt (@CodecMoments)

Matt Selection

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor (PS4), Dying Light (PS4), Murdered: Soul Suspect (PS4), The Walking Dead Season 2 (PS4)

Roger (@Afro_Gear)

Roger Selection

God Of War II (Vita), Tomb Raider (PS3), Saints Row IV (PS3), LA Noire (PS3)

Will we manage it?  Well… it sounds easy in principle!  We’ll post a weekly update to let you know how it’s going before the 28th February, and keep an eye on our Twitter feeds for more regular updates.  If you’re joining in with the Joystiq team let us know in the comments below.
