STEALTH Inc: A Clone in the Dark

Thought I was going slightly mad this morning, started to read about a game getting good reviews that I’d never heard of called STEALTH Inc: A Clone in the Dark.  Turns out it’s the Vita (and PS3 cross-buy) version of Stealth Bastard, the well liked puzzler from Curve Studios.  This will be joining the recent trend of indie 2D puzzle platformers on the PSN, but beware, there’s a reason the PC incarnation was called Bastard (and it’s not because it doesn’t know its’ father).

The premise is simple enough, guide your clone through the levels avoiding traps, hacking terminals and not getting killed while the difficulty ramps up the further you get in.  From what I’ve gleaned so far this gets very tough very fast, but manages to stay playable.  I guess this will be similar to Hotline Miami where death was pretty much my main bodily state throughout the levels, though if it manages the same degree of uniqueness and charm, with instant access in the event of dying, it might be worth having a punt on.

The game’s out this week, shouldn’t set you back too much cash, and if you like being challenged and frustrated across two different game platforms then it’s probably worth investing in.  Check out some of the screenshots below and let us know in the comments section if it’s the type of game for you (I’m tempted to make Andy review it and film him rage quitting!).

Looks like a fun, if not rage quit inducing game!

It’s really good but ramps up nicely to become damn challenging, I’m trying to finish my review for joypadandme.com but I can’t put it down long enough to finish typing my review.
Good luck Andy you’re gonna need it..
