Polish Developer Techland has today announced the first details about several free upcoming new content updates for Dying Light. The first update will be ‘Hard Mode’, frequently requested by those playing the game apparently… If it’s that easy, surely Matt should have finished it for #4iF by now?!
According to Dying Light’s Producer, Tymon Smektala:
”A few gamers have already finished Dying Light and are asking for more. So we’re going to give our community a new challenge that will put everything they learnt in the game to the test. Hard Mode is exactly that. We’re aiming to have it out around the start of March, if not sooner. Depends on how brutal we wanna make this on people.”
Hard Mode will feature various changes to the gameplay including ramped up nighttime difficulty, deadlier and more vicious foes, increased need for stealth and silence, and scarce resources and supplies.
There’s no official date for the content drop yet but it forms part of the long term support plan for Dying Light, which also features the distribution of redeem codes for in-game weapons. The first of many redeem codes can be found in the recently released gameplay trailer below.
