Arizona Sunshine Coming to PSVR

Vertigo Games and Jaywalkers Interactive have announced that Arizona Sunshine, an award-winning and popular VR zombie shooter on HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, will launch in the PlayStation®Store for PlayStation®VR on 27th June 2017 and will including a new game mode for use with the PS VR Aim Controller.  It comes complete with a new game mode that challenges players to complete the campaign armed with thirteen new two-handed weapons.  There’s also co-op and multiplayer to top things off.

While created specifically to provide the best experience when playing with the Aim Controller, in line with all of the game’s content, it supports all controllers – so you’re not going to miss out if you’ve just got the DualShock 4 or a couple of Move controllers.  You can explore Arizona Sunshine’s post-apocalyptic VR world using teleportation or locomotion (free) movement with any controller (and hopefully manage the motion sickness), and opt for optimal immersion with the PS VR aim controller or the PlayStation®Move motion controllers to handle your weapons, gear and consumables with real-life movements.  Check out the video below to see the gameplay.

Wise-cracking with an aesthetic that looks a little like Team Fortress, this is a VR title that we’re looking forward to getting our mitts on, not least because it’s gives us an excuse to breakout the Aim Controller again.  The FPS genre seems to be the one that most people want to see translated to VR, and is likely to be the one that sells the system above most others.  Arizona Sunshine is looking like a strong contender and a full game rather than a short experience, and goes to show that VR being written off before it even gets started is just daft talk.

Arizona Sunshine hits PSVR on the 27th June on the PS store, we’ll see you then at the heart of the zombie apocalypse.  In the meantime, visit the official website for more information.
